Privacy Policy
Effective 1 September 2026 · Last updated 1 September 2026
This explains what we collect when you use mindwhealth, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What you give us
- Your email and password — required to have an account at all.
- Anything optional you choose to fill in: your name, handle, and profile details.
- Your Playbook — the ten Articles, including the five rules you sign in Lesson 1.
- Your journal entries, trade logs and lesson notes.
- Your quest answers, boss-exam attempts and Daily Setup submissions.
- Your goals.
- Messages you send the AI mentor, and any chart images you attach to them.
- Anything you send us through the in-app feedback widget or by email.
- Your email address, if you sign up for The Tell — our free Sunday letter. You do not need an account for that, and we store nothing with it beyond the address, the date, and which page you signed up on. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and using it stops the mail immediately.
What we collect automatically
Less than you might expect, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
- Product milestones — we record when you complete a lesson, finish a boss attempt, and when the mentor sends or you dismiss a message. That is the entire list of events we track.
- When you file feedback through the in-app widget, we attach your browser's user-agent string and the page you were on, so a bug report is reproducible.
- Your session cookie, which is how the site knows you are signed in.
We do not collect your IP address, we do not derive your location, and we do not run any crash-reporting or session-replay product. There is no click tracking beyond the five events named above.
The AI mentor — read this one
The mentor is the part of mindwhealth that handles the most of what you write, so it gets its own section.
- Every message is stored. Both sides of the conversation — what you write and what the mentor replies — are saved against your account, as ordinary text.
- That is deliberate, and it is the feature. It is what lets the mentor remember your situation instead of meeting you cold every time.
- Chart images you attach are stored too, and are sent with the message they belong to.
- To produce a reply, your message is sent to Anthropic, who operate the AI model behind the mentor. How Anthropic handles data sent to their API is governed by their own published terms and privacy policy.
- We also record how many tokens each reply used, so we can keep an eye on cost.
We do not use your conversations, journal entries or Playbook to train AI models, and we will not start without asking you first and getting a yes.
What we use it for
- Running the product — showing your lessons, saving your journal, scoring your attempts, keeping your place in the course.
- Billing you, and sending receipts.
- Improving the product — seeing which lessons get finished and which get abandoned.
- Answering you when you write in.
- Sending account notices, and product email you can unsubscribe from.
What we never do
- Sell your data. Not to anyone, not ever.
- Use your journal or your mentor conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.
- Run advertising trackers. There is no Facebook Pixel and no ad-network tag anywhere in this product.
- Run cross-site tracking pixels or session-replay tools that record your screen.
- Share anything with brokers, banks or other trading companies.
Who else touches your data
Only the services needed to run the thing. Each sees only what its job requires.
- Vercel — hosts the application, and stores uploaded images.
- Neon — hosts the database.
- Anthropic — generates the AI mentor's replies, as described above.
- Stripe — processes payments. We never see or store your full card number; we keep the last four digits and the card brand so you can tell which card is on file.
- Resend — sends account and product email.
We may also have to hand over data if the law requires it — a court order or similar. If that happens we will tell you, unless we are legally barred from doing so.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email hello@mindwhealth.com and we will do it within 30 days — usually much faster.
Being straight with you: there are no self-serve export and delete buttons in the product yet. They are being built. Until they exist, the email address above is the way, and a request through it carries exactly the same weight.
If you are in the EU or the UK, these are your GDPR rights; in California, your CCPA rights. Same email either way. Deleting your account removes your journal, your Playbook, your notes, your goals and your mentor conversations along with it.
How long we keep it
- While your account is open, we keep your data so the product works.
- If you cancel but do not delete, we keep it so you can pick up where you left off if you come back.
- If you ask us to delete, we delete it. It may persist for a short period in routine database backups before those rotate out.
- Email you have sent us stays in our mail for as long as it is useful for support, and we delete it when it is not.
Cookies
One. It keeps you signed in, and the site cannot work without it, so there is nothing to opt out of and no banner to click. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies, because we do not use analytics or advertising products.
Age
mindwhealth is for adults. It is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a minor. If we find out we have, we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you and post a notice in the app. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
Asking us about any of this
hello@mindwhealth.com. A real person reads it, and right now that person is Daniel.
